Description

Vray | corona FBX Replace color - 1-ID (on one of the images - colors for example). The Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3 was born in 1966 as an idea of the enterprising engineer Erich Waxenberger, who at that time headed the design office of Mercedes-Benz. The essence of the idea was as follows: take the powerful 6.3 liter V8 Mercedes-Benz M100 engine from the prestigious Mercedes-Benz W100 limousine and place it in the next version of the Mercedes-Benz W109 S-class, which at that time had a 6-cylinder unit. Despite all the doubts of others, the experiment was successful, and its result was an almost 2-ton car with a performance similar to most specialized sports cars of that era. Rudolf Uhlenhout is said to have opened the hood at the first stop to find out how such a large engine and its ancillary components fit in there when invited to test drive the prototype.
